Hello. My name is Tim and I am, like many of you, blessed to have a friend like Jamey Cook. She has a heart as big as her laugh and a kindness towards those in need. Now it is time for us to help meet her need.
Jamey lives with and is the sole care-provider for her mother Jan, who has had many health issues arise over the last two years. Jamey took an extended leave from work to provide the necessary daily living support for Jan until her leave expired and she needed to return to work. During her leave, her physical office closed due to COVID-19 so she was able to work remotely from home while continuing to provide care for her mother.
Unfortunately, Jamey began to experience health related issues of her own requiring emergency medical care. After recovering but during her stay in the hospital, Jamey contracted the COVID-19 virus and she again was taken by ambulance to the hospital where she spent two weeks recovering from the effects of the virus.
Jamey is back at home recovering, and still finding the strength to take care of her mother. Jamey has taken another extended leave from work and must continue to pay for her medical insurance out of pocket. Hospital, ambulance and day-to-day bills are coming in and keeping up with the daily costs of living for two have expired her savings.
If you are like me, and have weathered the COVID storm pretty well, please help me to urgently ensure Jamey and Jan are not forgotten with thousands of dollars of debt and hardship. A lot of thought has gone into the amount I am requesting, which will help cover Jamey and Jan’s actual and current needs.
Thank you, and God Bless.
