For Jason
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser for Jason Hinton. As many of you are aware, Jason has renal failure. He is in need of a kidney transplant and is on a long list to get one, which can take up to ten years or more. Until he is able to find someone who is willing and able to donate their kidney he has to receive constant medical treatment.
We will be playing paintball at SC Village on Friday March 22, 2019. The competition will be Mechs & Techs vs Aircrew. It’s on an off-Friday when the park will be closed to the public. We’ll be able to play as many private games as we want from 10am-4pm on any fields we want. Entry is $48 with equip and $35 without. This includes entry and unlimited air refills. Friends and family are welcome! The main event will most likely be best out of 3 games then it’ll be a free for all, but we’re still working on those details. Minimum age to play is 10.
This competition is meant to raise awareness of how important it is to be a donor and the importance of health in general. It is also meant to get the word out there in case there is anyone willing and able to donate a kidney, and to raise funds for the medical costs they are incurring in the meantime.
For those of you who are deployed or living elsewhere who would like to contribute, we are opening up bidding on the winning team. Please put in the comments which team you are bidding on (Mechs & Techs or Aircrew). You will get one ticket for every $10 you donate. Pick the winning side and your tickets will be entered into a drawing to win a set of Bose QuietComfort 35 II Headphones.
For all those who can come, donations are not required in order to participate. We will be giving away t-shirts for a $15 minimum donation. Please put the size and number of t-shirts you would like in the comments section, whether or not you will be participating, and which team you will be on (for correct t-shirt color).
Please try not to let Jason know what we’re planning... It might not be possible after a while, but we’d like to keep it a surprise if we can. He knows we’re making plans for a tournament but only his wife, kids, and brother know that it’s for him.
