Friend Wendy suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia

Donation protected
This is my sweet friend Wendy La Marchina and her only daughter Augusta.  Wendy suffers from Trigeminal Neuralgia. The most painful  disease know to modern medicine. There is very little known  about it and very hard to treat. There are only about 150,000 cases a year on this rare disease. TR is described as the most excruciating pain known to humanity. The pain typically involves the lower face and jaw, although sometimes it affects the area around the nose and above the eye. This intense, stabbing, electric shock-like pain is caused by irritation of the trigeminal nerve, which sends branches to the forehead, cheek and lower jaw. It usually is limited to one side of the face.

Although trigeminal neuralgia cannot always be cured, there are treatments available to alleviate the debilitating pain. Normally, anticonvulsive medications are the first treatment choice. Surgery can be an effective option for those who become unresponsive to medications or for those who suffer serious side effects from the medications.

Wendy is in the 4% of patients that see little to no relief from medication.  She has had several surgeries done that have been unsuccessful as well. I have started this Go Fund Me page in hopes that you kind people will help me out with trying to get this sweet woman  some relief. Its so painful and hard to see loved ones suffer. I have known Wendy and Augusta for many years now and they are the two kindest souls you will ever meet and they will give you the shirt off their back if need be.  They are the type of people that light up a room when they walk in it. They are also the type of people that try to see the good in everyone and situations. I first met August  at my place  of  employement and then came to know her sweet mother, Wendy.  When getting to know them several years back I noticed that Wendy and her daughter Augusta have been through a lot together. They have a very tight bond. They have each other's backs and for so long it has been the two of them in this journey of life together. Life is hard as it is but to have a person suffer from TR makes it even more difficult. It is hard for Wendy to function on an everyday basis with her pain.  She started to feel  better for a little bit and was getting back into work again but as soon as she started working her health took a turn for the worse. She is out of a job and sweet Augusta has been working and  caring for her mom all while trying to finish her last year in college for social work and also helping to reform mental health here in Tennessee.  They are two incredible people that need help and I hope your will join me.

I know some of you may not be a believer in God but I am and when I look at Wendy and the pain she is going through I know God can heal her and I know that there are people that God made equipt to help her as well.
I have prayed and dwelled and read scripture to try to find the answers of pain and suffering. We all go through it. If not physically but emotionally. I read the other day Luke 8 49-55. It said this:

"  While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler’s house came and said, “Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.” But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.” And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child. And all were weeping and emourning for her, but he said, “Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.  But taking her by the hand he called, saying, “Child, arise.”  And her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And he directed that something should be given her to eat.

I can't help but keep thinking about  Jesus response. Do not be afraid, only believe. Do not be afraid. I think in our minds we already made up the outcome. We as humans always think the worse. That's why I believe we don't see many miracles in our day anymore. But that isn't Jesus, that isn't God. If we TRULY  believe there is a God and we TRULY believe that he can do miracles, he WILL DO miracles. The person that prays and wants to see miracles needs to WHOLE HEARTEDLY believe it can be done. Don't  just say it but in your heart really believe it. Did you know that "do not be  afraid" is written 365 times in the Bible? That's a do not be afraid for everyday of the year! God sure wants us to trust in him! God does not want us to be afraid. It's very clear. I believe Wendy can be healed. I believe God is the answer. I believe when we work and contribute as a body of Christ together miracles happen and WILL happen!
I am asking for donations to help out with medical expenses for Wendy and to help out with bills while they are out of work. $20,000 is the starting point and if exceeded that's even better. Vanderbilt and Centennial do not have the proper medication or education to help Wendy out anymore. It is beyond their expertise.  Augustas next hope for her Mom  is to hopefully get her into Mayo Clinic and try the Gamma Knife. Any money to relieve the financial pressure personally and medically and many prayers would be greatly appreciated. God Bless.
