Friend in Sri Lanka needs prothetic leg

Sometimes problems really pile up... My name is Olivier, I am fundraising because I have been helping Lenard and his family from Matara, south Sri Lanka since August 2023.

First they had a big fire damage in their house; They run a guesthouse and managed to repair on time for the season (which is roughly October to March).

But then Lenard's leg had to be amputed after an infection. We were there between January and March and started collecting funds to help buying a prothetic leg (costs about 1500€). That's almost done but it is getting more expensive due to side costs like travel to the capital Colombo etc. His wife also has serious (and costly) health issues.

They sent me messages in despair, now stuck without cash flow off-season. I've been helping what I could so far but now I feel it needs wider support from a community.
