Friend in need because of fire

Good Evening Yorkville,

Bad news to share regarding a few of our own! Yesterday the Dowd family (of 2nd Avenue), lost their apartment due to a fire in the apartment building where they live.
The fire started in the restaurant below, and worked it's way up to the Dowd's apartment on an upper floor. Thankfully, no one in the family was hurt, but the fire was
so severe everything the family owned has been destroyed. Unfortunately, the apartment is no longer livable. Cathy & Sean (John Dowd's daughter & grandson), and
Mikey Dowd (Mickey Dowd's son) now have to relocate. Because of the severe damage to the apartment, and because they have lost almost all of their property,
A few neighborhood friends are putting together this "GOFUNDME" page to help the Dowd's find a temporary place to stay, as well as help buy some personal necessities until they can find a permanent place to stay until their apartment is rebuilt.

Thankfully, the Dowd's have many friends here in Yorkville. I'm sure we all can find it in our hearts to make a small donation to help this wonderful family. We all know when times are hard for one of our own, the rest of the Yorkville community pulls together to help out! Thank you for taking the time to read this and for contributing to this beautiful family. Any and all donations are welcomed and appreciated. Please say a prayer for this family that they get through this difficult time and that their apartment can and will be repaired.
