Friends's Wife had Surgery! Need $ to pay Bill!

About Orgaizer: Hi my name is Dr. Timmie Pollock. I am a Clinical Psychologist in San Diego. I accidentally connected with three families of Afghan men who worked for the US and were left behind by the US in Afghanistan last year. I have gotten to know all of them well over the past 11 months.  We are also working with Rescue/Evacuation groups here in the U.S.
The Cause:  One of my guy's wives was beaten badly by the Taliban when they were looking for him, and was left with severe pain and disability due to a damaged cervical discs. All conservative treatments were tried with little relief. The only remaining option was surgery which cost $7800. I couldn't  afford this on my own.   The Rescue groups are for rescue, feeding and housing, not surgeries, so I was asking anyone with kindness in their heart and/or a little sympathy for the situation in Afghanistan to consider donating whatever amount they could, or spreading the word to others about this cause.  All donations large or small are greatly apreciated!
Initial Situation:  We were miraculously able to get enough funds together to start the process and a very kind doctor agreed to do the surgery with a down payment of $1500.  The money donated was paid to the husband who then paid the hospital directly.
Current Situation:  "Bibi" is doing very well and recovering quickly.  However,  the hospital needs to be paid.  They will be paid over 3-4 months and are asking for $2000/month.  I can't possibly do this myself as I already am caring for an elderly uncle.  We need the help of anyone willing to donate even a small amount.  We still need around $6000!  All donations large or small are greatly apreciated!  Or...please spread the word if you know a sympathetic soul!

Urgency:  There is a risk that if these payments are not made in a timely manner this man's information could be shared by the hospital with the Taliban.  If that should happen the result would not be good. (Understatement)

About the Family:  Bibi's husband worked for the US and has his case number from the State Department.  He is waiting for a Special Immigrant Visa, which with the current backup might take months. I have other friends who are retired military officers who were able to verify the identity of my "guys".  Bibi and her husband have 3 darling children under the age of 6.

If you have more questions or would like more information you can contact me directly!  Thanks!
