Friend helping friend across the globe!

Friends, family, and people I’ve never met!
I know times are tough. I’m trying to help out a friend in Africa in need. Her name is Darlene. It is hard to ask for help. She didn’t have to. I know her struggles. I was there. I listened, heard, and am learning. Instead, I asked her how I could help.
I recently reached out to my Road to Zanzibar group leader in Kenya to see how she was doing. She relies on her job with a group travel company, such as the one I took to the Serengeti, as income. That is her work. And I can tell you they make pennies for the work they do, the expertise, heart and soul put in top the work. In addition are gone for weeks and months at a time away from their families. As a woman, she’s been creating her way rightfully so.
She has not worked this year since trips have been cancelled due to Covid. And finding work without COVID doesn’t even come close to the opportunities we have in the U.S. and other countries. Their COVID quarantine just got extended another 30 days. Imagine that?
She recently took on a small position to do some interior decorating at a bank. She submitted Decor and her work was recently approved to continue decorating for a bank. She had to show examples in order to be accepted. HOWEVER, she has to pay for the supplies herself to be able to work. She has very little to live off of. I’m donating and asking others if able, to help her keep this work she was able to find towards the supplies she needs to contribute. The pictures are the work she submitted with supplies to get approved for work.
If you are willing and able to help contribute, please do so with this link. If not, no worries. It doesn’t hurt to ask. It takes a lot of courage to ask others for help when you are in need, and for that I will do my part and pay it forward.
I went to Africa during a really hard time for my family. She was there for me in ways I didn’t know I needed. With an open heart. What I learned from her and the other women in my group from across the globe, different backgrounds, different skin colors, was so valuable.
I can’t help everyone, but I can GO MAKE A DIFFERENCE and seed by seed spread love and help.
If this doesn’t interest you, please kindly carry on.
Thank you. Have a good weekend ♥️
