Friend Displaced from Home due to Fire

Hello, my name is Donna CottonCornelius and I am trying to help my friend who was displaced from her home weeks ago due to this terrible fire in her Co-op building in Kenwood. Her name is Joycelyn Johnson and Joyce and I have been friends for many years. We met when we were graduate students at Roosevelt University many years ago.
Joyce is a very giving and supportive individual friend, and retired school teacher. Harpers Square in Kenwood has been her home for several decades.
A displacement from your home would be difficult for most of us but particularly challenging because of the immediate and urgent need to vacate without any time to prepare or advance notice. She is now in a position where she must find temporary housing for possibly 6 months or more while waiting for the recovery of her residence which was damaged due to the fire.
Any contribution would be so appreciated and would add to the gratefulness that she and many others survived such a life-threatening experience and their lives were spared. These funds will be used to help with the unexpected expenses for transitional housing for Joyce.
As a therapist, I work daily to assist individuals with their challenges. Helping people through crises is important to me. This is one way I hope to help make a difference for a personal, long-time, friend.

Thank you for your help.
