Last march 2016, my dear friend was diagnosed with a rare , aggressive cancer, a sacral chordoma. After numerous rounds of radiation and chemotherapy , she had no response.
She was then able to get into a clinical trial.
Best news! It was responding to treatment in phase 1.. by phase 2.. there was no response it had actually grown and metastasized to her lungs. She had to stop the trial
Her latest PET scans showed her lungs are cleared, but the sacral chordoma has once again metastasized, to her brain stem.
She is a happily married , (still working) registered nurse, and mommy to the 2 most beautiful girls.
She has been denied treatment due to her insurance at Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
Her oncologist has found a new clinical trial that has had high success in Europe, being done at Hershey medical center.
She needs to be there at least 10 days.
The emotional and physical strains on her body have taken their toll, and for her and her husband to have financial woes on top of it is just too much.
I beg of you to please donate, even the smallest amount will help ease their burden.
Right now they need to be concerned with her healing, not how they're going to pay the mortgage.
She's a beautiful soul, only 35 years old, fighting for her life, fighting to be here to raise her babies, fighting to grow old with the love of her life.
Please.. I beg of you.. help me help them.
