Frida's Battle with Brain Cancer Needs You

Hi! My name is Sarah Aguilar and I am a proud daughter of my mom, Frida Aguilar. She has been a single mom since the day I was born and has sacrificed so much to provide for us. I am an only child and on December 17, 2024, our lives changed. My mom was rushed to the emergency room due to shortness of breath. She had multiple seizures in the hospital and started to fight. She was intubated, heart rate was in the 20s, but she did not give up. She fought her hardest as we prepared for our next step. On December 25, 2024, my beautiful mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma (aggressive brain cancer). This is truly my worst fear come to life. However, we are people of faith and started to pray. On December 27, 2024, she had surgery to remove as much as safely possible. She is a fighter and had a great team of surgeons, so she was sent to an acute rehab facility to strengthen her walking, speech, and movement. On January 17, 2025, she was discharged and sent home, what a glorious day! However, our journey doesn’t stop there. On February 17, 2024, my mom will start radiation and chemotherapy. I am her only child and she is a single mom, so it is my time to step up and take her to every single appointment (no place I’d rather be). However, I will have to take unpaid leave from my job as a school psychologist.

Therefore, I am asking for any support financially for my mom and I so we can be together during this time, fight this, and focus on being with each other. We truly are not ones to ask for help, however, an angel (you know who you are) encouraged me to do this. Any amount, share, and support would mean the world to us. Money will go towards medical expenses, daily living, and transportation for therapies ❤️
