Frida to complete Lusaka Nursing degree
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Richard and several years ago my wife and I were lucky enough to fulfill a lifelong dream to visit Africa - specifically Zambia where we befriended several of the game wardens. They exist on minimal pay however and when a local school was going to be closed through lack of funds, we were able to raise funds through the Esther foundation to preserve the school in a local village.
Unfortunately one of the wardens, Chris, suffered a stroke last year which has left him partially paralysed with loss of balance and he hasn't been able to fully resume his normal work which has put severe financial strain on the family. His eldest daughter Frida has just finished her first year of nursing at Mwanawasa Medical University in Lusaka and Chris has been unable to finance the rest of her studies, although he managed to pay for her first year's tuition in 2022. They are a lovely caring family who we also sent a clothes parcel to, some years ago. It would be such a shame if she had to leave her studies. The approx cost is about $3000 Aus per year to complete the next two years. So approximately $6000A should cover expenses and a little bit more. I have enclosed a photo of Chris and his family. I am asking for any assistance people can offer.
