MY TRUTH

Hi my name is Karen Bryant I am 64 years old. For those of you who don't know me I am a very private person. Putting my pride aside and asking for help is beyond embarrassing.

5 years ago I was living in Austin Texas struggling with addiction. My first step was checking myself into rehab and completing the program. The second step was to clean up the mess I had created.

I made the decision to pack up my granddaughter and move back home to Annapolis Maryland. I was blessed to get another chance to start over. We had a place to live and I got a good job being a in-home caregiver for someone else who was struggling with addiction. The faith that I had lost was slowly being returned.

Sadly this past April my services were no longer needed. With fear and mixed emotions I made the decision to pack up and move back to Texas. The money that I had saved was enough for gas and food

While staying at a friend's house I have been actively looking for employment because my time here is limited. The money I am asking for is to ensure that my granddaughter and I are not homeless. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any amount given is greatly appreciated.
