Fire destroys family’s home

Hi, my name is Kendra and I am starting this fundraiser for my daughter Daina Baird and her fiancé Michael Foster to help them begin to rebuild their lives. Their home was destroyed by a fire late Friday night while they were away at a friend’s house for the weekend. The fire was very severe and it completely destroyed everything they own including their car, leaving them homeless and pretty distraught. There wasn’t anything that was salvageable and currently all they have are the clothes on their backs. Everyone is just fortunate to be alive at this time. They have been living out of town for awhile now and we are hoping that the Red Cross will be able to put them up in a hotel for a week or so until they can get things figured out. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any renters insurance so replacing anything they owned is solely on them. We are reaching out to the community and all of our local friends and family for help so that these 2 may get back in their feet. At the moment they don’t have an stable address that we can send items to so any items that someone wishes to donate can be dropped off at my home 215 Evelyn Dr Luling, LA 70070 or at my place of employment which is First American Bank on River road in Luling 13919 River road Luling, LA 70070. Once they establish residency I will ship all items to them. Things that they are in desperate need of are clothing, toiletries, housing/shelter, a vehicle and just the every day basic essentials. Clothing sizes needed are women’s shirts large or xlarge

pants/shorts size 14 or stretchy large or X-Large, womens shoes size 10 1/2 or she can wear a mens size 9 1/2, bra size 38 C and socks.
