My name is EmmaLynn and I'm working to fundraise for Freya to stay alive. She is a 2.5-year-old pittie who is fully deaf. I picked her up from MADACC as an emaciated stray who still had all the love and snuggles in the world to give. Unfortunately, she soon gained a fixation for our cat, which became a high risk and point of anxiety for her. She has since been adopted out through the Wisconsin Humane Society, where she was loved by her new family but unfortunately did not do well with the resident dog in their house. She was returned to the WHS, and due to her behavioral history, is no longer eligible for their adoption program.
The WHS has called me as a final resort before she’s set to be euthanized next week.
We have received a super generous offer from Maddison of Hope Farms and Sanctuary, a Fear Free certified experienced professional who uses positive and reward-based training, to not only take her in to work with her but also completely build a kennel area for her to stay in until Freya is completely rehabbed and ready to be placed in her forever home. Maddison has worked with behaviorally challenged dogs for years, including other deaf dogs, and she says, "Rescue is quite literally my entire life."
Hope Farms and Sanctuary has saved so many lives and is ready to save one more with our help. Please consider donating; any small amount helps! All proceeds will initially go to help get Freya her temporary home built and vet needs met. Any remaining donations will go directly to the rescue to help continue their mission and support Freya in her process and other animals like her.
Thank you all for your willingness to share, donate, and support this cause.
