Hello, my names Rachel and I’m raising funds to help support my good friends Steve & Steph throughout their daughter’s brain cancer journey.

On the 9th of September 2025 their world was turned upside down when their beautiful 5 year old daughter Freya was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer known as Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumour (AT/RT).

Freya endured 12 hours of surgery at Birmingham children’s hospital on the 12th of September 2025 to remove the tumour from her brain and has since completed her first 5 rounds of chemotherapy.

This week they face their toughest challenge yet as they move 100 miles away from home to Manchester, over the Christmas period, where Freya will receive 6 weeks of proton beam therapy alongside her existing chemotherapy schedule.

Steve and Steph have been reluctant to ask for help until now but as they face such an uncertain future I would like to create this fund as a safety net for the extra costs and challenges that come with weeks and months of hospital stays.

I know times are tough for everyone at the minute and with Christmas just around the corner I respect that people may not have much to spare but any donation no matter how small or even just a simple share of this page will help ease the burden and make a huge difference to this family.

It will mean they can both continue to focus on what matters the most…being by their daughter’s side whilst she endures the biggest fight of her life.
