Freya's Care

Donation protected
Two weeks ago, Freya developed a temperature and was diagnosed with a throat infection. A lump appeared on her neck and her health continued deteriorating. She was admitted to hospital for tonsillitis and told the lump was probably a cyst. Even so, they sent Freya for MRI. Within a couple of hours they had contacted Our Ladys Hospital in Crumlin and had transferred her there. Freya has a huge tumour in her neck. It has been growing slowly internally since birth. It has pushed her trachea and oesophagus to one side and has grown under her collarbone and down into her chest.

She is due to have an operation within the next three days to remove it and may need to have some chemotherapy. We are so lucky that she got the infection which made the tumor swell and appear, otherwise it would have gone unnoticed which is unbearable to even think about.
We are lucky and are hopeful of a full recovery.

We are looking to raise €5,000 to help pay for some of the costs as both of Freya's parents are currently not working to be there for their daughter.

Any surplus funds will be donated to "Children in Hospital Ireland".

Help spread the word!
