Freya Williams is putting out an album...and here she comes to ask for your support. This is the culmination of a year and a half of songwriting, arranging, and development--my first album and my first project after graduating from Temple with my BA in jazz vocals!

What is the album about? This collection of songs is about finding my voice as a musician and writer. There is a big emphasis on musical space, overlapping vocal harmonies, and the lovely sound of the upright bass.

Where does my money go? The money we raise will be used for two essentials: paying the recording studio, and paying the wonderful musicians who have already given me so much time over this past year. A smaller amount of money may also be needed for artwork, promotion, and the Ever-Present Unexpected. 

Who's in the band? Huge huge shout-out to Christian Hencek (upright bass), who has worked closely with me in developing these songs. Major thanks to Bill Saurman (trombone), Manny Ohemeng (trumpet), Kirsten Krechel (vocals), Neil Goldenthal (drums), Micah Graves (piano), Brandy Rose (vocals), Ben Rogers-Petro (vocals) and Gabe Miller (violin).
