Orquesta Típica Andariega is in quarantine, but has kept on working since the confinement started in Argentina. The situation for the independent musicians (as we are) is difficult here, and each of us is looking for a way to get by during the crisis.
As a group we have set ourselves a goal for 2020 to focus our work and energy. That is to make the fifth album of the orchestra which will contain the best songs of Fresedo that Roberto Ray sang, but in our style and interpreted by Marisol Martinez, the amazing singer who´s been collaborating with us these last years.
Marisol Martinez has sung with some of the best orchestras in our time and is currently a part of La Autentica Milonguera. She is consider one of the best and most charismatic tango singers of her generation, and we are very happy to count on her collaboration in this project.
The idea of this album is born of our appreciation for the beautiful works of the masterly orchestra of Fresedo that we've heard so many times embraced on the dance floor - and yes, we are an orchestra that dances!
The album will be called ‘Fresedo con amore’.
We’ve already been working for quite a while. The arrangements are being made and we are doing what we call a 'pre production', where we record the voice of each of our instruments from our homes - with the available equipment - we are adapting. It is a new way of working that obviously does not replace the rehearsals but it makes us feel good to be able to continue with our work and to gather through technology, knowledge and imagination.
But we are going to need help to record this new album: to enter the studio and also to cover the costs of the editing, the mixing and the mastering. So far 2020 has prevented us from working for almost 4 months and it looks like it will continue for a quite while…

La Orquesta Típica Andariega está en cuarentena, pero sigue trabajando desde que empezó el confinamento en Argentina. La situación para los músicos independientes (como nosotros) acá es difícil, y cada uno de nosotros está buscando la forma para manejar este momento.
Como grupo nos propusimos - porque lo necesitamos - un objetivo para el 2020, el cual es hacer el quinto disco de la orquesta. Dicho trabajo contendrá los mejores temas de Fresedo que cantó Roberto Ray, pero a nuestro estilo e interpretados por la brillante Marisol Martinez quien ha colaborado con nosotros estos últimos años.
Marisol Martinez cantó con la mejores orquestas de nuestros tiempos y es parte de La Autentica Milonguera. Es considerada entre las mejores y mas carismáticas cantantes de su generación. Estamos muy felices de poder contar con su colaboración en este proyecto.
La idea del disco nace de nuestro gusto por las hermosas obras de esta orquesta magistral que hemos escuchado tantas veces abrazados en la pista, porque sí, somos una orquesta que baila!
El disco se llamará ‘Fresedo con amore’.
Ya está muy bien encaminado. Los arreglos van apareciendo y estamos haciendo una pre producción donde grabamos la voz de cada uno desde los hogares de cada uno - con el equipo disponible, nos adaptamos. Es una forma nueva de trabajar que obviamente no reemplaza los ensayos pero nos hace sentir bien de poder seguir haciendo lo nuestro, y juntándonos a través de la tecnología, los conocimientos y la imaginación.
De todas maneras, vamos a necesitar ayuda para poder grabar este nuevo album: para entrar en el estudio y también para solventar los costos de edición, mezcla y mastering. El 2020 hasta ahora nos ha impedido trabajar por casi 4 meses y parece que va a seguir así un tiempo mas…
