Hello everyone,
My name is Emanuella Nathan and I am a water polo goalie currently playing for a NCAA division one program. I have been playing for about 8 years now, and one dream of mine has been to play internationally for Australia, France, or the US(I have multiple citizenships). Well, that dream has come a lot earlier than expected!
A couple weeks ago the French National Team reached out to me, and they invited me to two training camps! The first one will take place from December 19-24 in Paris and the second one takes place from January 3-8 in The Netherlands. During this time, all expenses will be paid for by the national team.
Because flying home would be too expensive, we have concluded that staying in Europe for the break would be cheaper than flying home only to fly back a week later. The costs I must account for include my flight and my living expenses between the two camps(December 25-January 2). My mother, Angelina Joy Emanuele, has arranged a cheap living situation in London. I would have to pay for my room, travel expenses, and food, in addition to my flight to Paris. My mother and I expect these out of pocket expenses to total around $3,500.
On such short notice and financial hardships due to Covid, my mother and I can't do it alone. Any help at all would mean the world to me. This is an amazing opportunity that I can’t let slip by. If selected for the National Team, I would have the honor to play in the World Championship Games in Summer 2022 and potentially the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!
