Hi, I’m Pete and have decided to help one of my best mates Janos (Vid) Jelo with his mission to raise vital funds for neurofibromatosis research. His daughter Katie has this condition.   

Vid is swimming 26km from Fremantle to Rottnest Island WA and requires a Kayaker to support him throughout his swim. I’ll be kayaking along side him for 19kms of his journey, providing him with fluids, food, directions and most of all support. This is massive challenge for both of us and will take 8-10 hours to get to Rottnest. We’ve been training in Port Philip Bay the last few months and have another 6weeks to make sure we’re both ready for this challenge. 

The swim and Kayak take place on March 18 in WA, starting from Fremantle to Rottnest Island. All the proceeds from this GoFundMe will go towards Vid’s Flipper Of Hope campaign which will then be passed onto Vid’s chosen charity ‘Flicker of Hope’ which helps fund research for Neurofibromatosis.
