Story in short..
Just before we made a big move we invited a family member to our home for a farewell meal.
As always when people visit we put the dogs outside in the secure back garden.
This person then invited other people to our home against our wishes and then went and let them into our home after we said NO.
we said no due to the living room being packed with boxes to the ceiling so not a lot of room.
While Melvyn was cooking dinner I had to go to bed as I had a migraine, Melvyn locked the back door, kitchen door and the dinning room door YES THAT IS 3 DOORS BETWEEN THIS PERSON AND THE DOGS. He was told not to go through to the dogs on several occasions by several people. when Melvyn came upstairs to bring me dinner we heard a scream. This person had disobeyed our instructions again, and took a person out of the living room, unlocked the dining room door, our children and brothers saw him through the window and told him NO, but he continued to unlock the kitchen door and then the back door, pulled the person outside by their arm! Unfortunately Mitsy had nipped the person that was took outside
So through no fault of Mitsy or ourselves she was sized by the police. After hours of interviews and interrogation myself and Melvyn could of been facing prison time for having a dog dangerously out of control. So now fast forward 1 year, myself and Melvyn have been given the all clear with no charges being brought against us, but they want to put a destruction order on Mitsy after I get summoned to court to hear how they want to destroy my beautiful Mitsy I’m going to appeal, unfortunately you don’t get legal aid for this so we will be fundraising as much as we can over on Artics Legacy on Facebook and I’m thinking of getting a petition going also.
The total estimate that’s been given to us by the solicitor is as follows..
Behaviourist est £800 + £160 vat = £960
Solicitor est £2000 + £400 vat = £2400
Total estimate £3,360
if we raise more than needed this will go to DDA watch to help other dog owners in a similar situation.
