Help Jon & Connie, Ivee & Avery Freeman & Rebuild After a Devastating Flood

Hello, my name is Audrey Hill, and I am Connie's cousin. I'm reaching out on behalf of her beautiful family—Connie and Jon Freeman, and their two young daughters, Ivee and Avery—who recently experienced an unexpected and heartbreaking disaster.

On June 30th, they closed on what was meant to be their forever home in the Delaware Springs Golf Course community in Burnet, Texas. What should have been a joyful new beginning quickly turned into devastation.

Just days after moving in—and before they had even fully unpacked—the unimaginable happened. Around 4 a.m., rising floodwaters surged into their new home. Connie and Jon had to act fast, waking their daughters and grabbing their dogs before escaping to safety in Jon’s truck. The water rose so rapidly that there was no time to save their belongings. All of their newly purchased furniture, mattresses was destroyed. Clothes, shoes, all of the girl's toys, the girls' bikes, food, and daily essentials, they have lost everything—completely ruined.

This area had never flooded before, and to make matters worse, homeowner’s insurance does not cover damages from rising water. They were only able to salvage a few items, and they are now left with the emotional and financial burden of starting over.

Despite everything, the love and support from friends, family, and neighbors have been a true blessing. But there will be a long road to recovery. Jon and Connie are sleeping on the couches at their home, they will not leave so that they can tend to their new home The girls are spending the nights with family.

The Freeman family is currently in need of:

Jon's clothing size XL & size 9 shoe ,

Connie clothing XL , shoe size 7,

Avery clothing size 5 shoe size 9 or 10

Household essentials

Furniture, bedding, mattresses, and towels

Financial assistance for repairs, replacements, and temporary housing
