Freeing Etincelle & Yaya, Bwiti tradition holders

We are raising £12,000 to pay off the fine imposed by the French authorities so that Etincelle and Yaya can be free to travel and offer healing across the world.

 

Etincelle is a Master Shaman, who hosts Bwiti initiation ceremonies, using the sacred sacrament Iboga, in her village, Mbeng Ntam in Gabon and has been doing so for the past twenty years. Yaya is the village chief and her husband.

 

Iboga is listed as a national treasure in Gabon and is one of the most powerful of sacred sacraments in the world. It is used to heal those who wish to transform the quality of their lives. It is known as the ‘Tree of Life’ or the ‘Medicine of Truth’ and its derivative, Ibogaine, is known for its anti-addictive properties in treating those with serious addictions.

 

Etincelle and Yaya were invited to the UK to lead a Bwiti ceremony of music and dance and were travelling with the sacred wood (Iboga). On their way to the UK, they travelled via France where the sacred wood is treated as a banned substance. They were stopped by the French authorities at the airport and detained for carrying it. They were not using the sacred wood in France nor were they carrying it for commercial distribution purposes. The intention was to have the sacred wood be in the ceremonial space and assist those who were to be present for healing in the UK to benefit from its metaphysical properties.

 

They had to surrender the goods and also face possible imprisonment. The French authorities took them to court and a legal case was registered against them.

 

The French authorities have imposed a fine of €32000, which if not paid in full, will mean a complete travel ban for Etincelle & Yaya. A significant part of the fine has already been raised and now we wish to raise the balance, which includes hiring a French lawyer to represent the case and settle the fine. We need to raise £12,000 for that and that, together with the money already with us, will be enough to pay off the fine and also the legal fees.

 

Etincelle is one of the rarest of rare shamans we have met and she has been at the Boom Festival, held ceremonies in the UK and other countries.

 

The fund raising by us and supported by other Bwiti initiates will have the following impact:

1) Setting them free to travel will allow them to hold healing spaces across the world that will benefit many

2) It will make their work more accessible for many more people, particularly as it is not always possible for people to make the trip to Gabon

3) Our village Mbeng Ntam will thrive and prosper and the tradition will be even more strengthened and protected

4) It will bring the wider community of conscious beings together in a common cause, particularly at a time when it matters the most

5) Any additional funds remaining will be used to plant iboga trees in the village, securing the future of this incredible medicine for generations to come.

Etincelle est une Maître Shaman, qui anime des cérémonies d'initiation Bwiti, utilisant le sacrement sacré Iboga, dans son village, Mbeng Ntam au Gabon et ce depuis une vingtaine d'années. Yaya est le chef du village et son mari.
 
L'iboga est classé trésor national au Gabon et est l'un des sacrements sacrés les plus puissants au monde. Il est utilisé pour guérir ceux qui souhaitent transformer la qualité de leur vie. Il est connu sous le nom d '«arbre de vie» ou de «médecine de la vérité» et son dérivé, l'ibogaïne, est connu pour ses propriétés anti-addictives dans le traitement des personnes souffrant de dépendances graves.
 
Etincelle et Yaya ont été invités au Royaume-Uni pour diriger une cérémonie Bwiti de musique et de danse et voyageaient avec le bois sacré (Iboga). En route vers le Royaume-Uni, ils sont passés par la France où le bois sacré est traité comme une substance interdite. Ils ont été arrêtés par les autorités françaises à l'aéroport et détenus pour l'avoir transporté. Ils n'utilisaient pas le bois sacré en France et ne le transportaient pas non plus à des fins de distribution commerciale. L'intention était de placer le bois sacré dans l'espace cérémoniel et d'aider ceux qui devaient être présents pour la guérison au Royaume-Uni à bénéficier de ses propriétés métaphysiques.
 
Ils ont dû rendre les biens et risquent également d'être emprisonnés. Les autorités françaises les ont traduits en justice et une action en justice a été enregistrée contre eux.
 
Les autorités françaises ont infligé une amende de 32 000 €, qui, si elle n'est pas payée en totalité, entraînera une interdiction totale de voyager pour Etincelle & Yaya. Une partie importante de l'amende a déjà été levée et nous souhaitons maintenant augmenter le solde, ce qui comprend l'engagement d'un avocat français pour représenter l'affaire et régler l'amende. Nous devons collecter 12 000 £ pour cela et cela, avec l'argent déjà avec nous, sera suffisant pour payer l'amende ainsi que les frais juridiques.
 
Etincelle est l'une des chamanes les plus rares que nous ayons rencontrées et elle a participé au Boom Festival, a organisé des cérémonies au Royaume-Uni et dans d'autres pays.
 
La collecte de fonds par nos soins et soutenue par d'autres initiés du Bwiti aura l'impact suivant :
1) Leur permettre de voyager librement leur permettra de tenir des espaces de guérison à travers le monde qui profiteront à de nombreuses personnes
2) Cela rendra leur travail plus accessible à beaucoup plus de personnes, d'autant plus qu'il n'est pas toujours possible pour les gens de faire le voyage au Gabon
3) Notre village Mbeng Ntam va prospérer et prospérer et la tradition sera encore plus renforcée et protégée
4) Il rassemblera la communauté élargie des êtres conscients autour d'une cause commune, en particulier à un moment où cela compte le plus
