Five months ago, we created a GoFundMe that--thanks to many of you--helped generate seed money to launch Free*Dome Unlimited. With the money we raised, Free*Dome Unlimited was able to purchase office equipment, support a small staff, and file tax and corporate documents. Free*Dome Unlimited now seeks to secure additional funding for our next steps: creating an online infrastructure, implementing the online curriculum, and paying certified, qualified facilitators.
Free*Dome Unlimited, Inc. seeks to promote healing and to empower individuals and families impacted by mass incarceration and the social determinants to health, and to address some of the short and long-term effects of systemic racism and injustice in Virginia.
Free*Dome Unlimited will implement an evidence-based curriculum for its “REAL-TALK for RETURNING CITIZENS” (RTRC) programming, and also engaging community partners to facilitate classes and workshops that will be facilitated by certified and qualified individuals with lived experienced, in addressing the challenges faced by high-risk communities and individuals, primarily in the City of Richmond, and Virginia residents as a whole. Our goal is to decrease recidivism rates, and increase support services to address homelessness, substance abuse, and other issues for community members and participants in our program.
The founder of Free*Dome Unlimited, Christopher Rashad Green, comes to his non-profit work with a long list of accomplishments in voter rights restoration, Judicial Watch, and transformative justice. His advocacy and his empathy, along with his ability to set high goals and accomplish them, have changed Richmond. Christopher has already positively and deeply impacted many people, and Free*Dome Unlimited will continue to change individual lives and our community. Please consider contributing to the growth of this nonprofit, whether you are able to donate $5, $50, or $500.
