FREEDOM FOR 29 DOGS

We rescued 32 dogs in March of this year in China. They were rescued straight off trucks heading to the slaughterhouse, or from puppy mills before the dog meat dealers got to them. 7 Frenchies died after rescue from neglect and disease. 3 pug-mix babies were born after rescue to Mama Uma, and we took one suffering pug off the streets of Shenzhen after he was abandoned by his owner covered in mange and scabs. That brings our total to 29 dogs.

 

29 lives who depend on us.

 

29 lives we need to get out of China so that they can have families of their own, something they have never had. These dogs have never been in a home. Never lived in anything but a cage, whether at the horrid puppy mill or even now at the hospitals where they are boarded. They have never had a bed to sleep in. Never had a toy. Never had treats. No regular meals, often went hungry.

 

They have been waiting 8 months for this opportunity and it is finally here!

 

It costs $1375 USD per dog to fly them to freedom. Plus custom agent fees, plus other expenses probably totaling another $5,000-$7000. But for now I want to just cover the flights.

 

29 x $1375 = $39,875

 

We have already raised $3000 from auctions.
