FREEDOM Ultra 24hr Challenge

The Freedom Ultra 24hr Challenge is 50km Event being run/walked by 25 walkers or runners in January 2022.

50% of the event  entry fee will go to BACKPACKS 4 VIC KIDS. Participants are also free to raise money for this worthy cause

Who are they?

Currently there are 45,000 Australian children in an Out Of Home Care (OOHC) placement such as foster care. There are around 4000 new placements each year in Victoria alone. Often children are placed quickly into foster care, kinship care or emergency accommodation with little to no belongings.  BACKPACKS 4 VIC KIDS provide filled baby care bags and backpacks to children entering OOHC and emergency accommodation. Children in these situations are often removed or found with little more than the clothes they are wearing. BACKPACKS 4 VIC KIDS provide items to vulnerable babies and children during that first 24-48 hours of displacement, in addition to items of comfort and distraction. Children can then arrive at emergency foster care or emergency accommodation with belongings of their own and a sense of worth. Our donations will go to helping this worthy cause and supporting vulnerable children in need
