FREEDOM Missions

FREEDOM Missions, launched during the height of COVID in the summer of 2020.  When the schools shut down in Horry County, Meals on Wheels had the opportunity to step up and serve the children through their food program.  In this season, God made it abundantly clear that His vision for this ministry was to serve not only the homebound, shut in and elderly- but also to provide meals, comfort, and spread His love to families in lower income neighborhoods in our community.  Through this vision, SEED was formed and is the foundation in which FREEDOM Missions operates. 



S- Sowing the SEEDS; Everything we do is based around planting the “seeds” of God’s word and the love of Jesus in the hearts of those we come in contact with.  Building the relationship and foundation with those in communities that otherwise in the eyes of others may not be “approachable”.  We focus on breaking the boundaries of racial divide, economic classifications, and religions and focus only on the love of Jesus and the power of His name. 



E- Educating Others; Through our faithful volunteers and prayer warriors, we deliver God’s love and share what it means to be truly in the heart of Christ and His.  With tangible small acts of kindness, others learn that we are all called to make a difference.  In this education point- new programs are being developed to train individuals in these communities in different trades that can prayerfully break some of the chains of poverty.  Such programs include but are not limited to laying tiles/flooring, cooking/chef skills, how to build a resume, change oil/tires, and sewing skills. 



E- Empower; By using the skills, confidence, and knowledge gained by the relationships built and developed, we encourage others to be the light in the community and share what they are learning with others.  Learning from a friend, relative, and neighbor who sees a radical change in you carries so much weight and power and chains are broken when this occurs.  Confidence is contagious when carried in a positive light and shines brightest when we are surrounded by those we love.  Other local ministries and non-profits, joined together with FREEDOM Missions serve alongside one another to ensure that the communities and relationships are nurtured. 



D- Deploy; By the love shown to them, grace given, and the joy of Jesus living inside them-  we prayerfully walk alongside our neighbors as they go out and witness, testify, and share the love of Jesus with those and plant the SEED of hope.
