Freedom Association 50th anniversary ‘Freedom-In-Peril’ Appeal
Target: £12,000
Since 1975, The Freedom Association has been a non-partisan, classically liberal organization defending our basic freedoms and liberties. We actively oppose any threats to individual rights and advocate for personal freedoms and free speech.
Our new Labour Government, with its large majority, poses a significant risk to basic liberties. The Freedom Association, founded in 1975, is seeking to raise £12,000 to support our efforts in challenging these threats through campaigns and events.
See our 10 Principles of a Free Society here:(https://www.tfa.net/the_ten_principles_of_a_free_society)
Here's some of our specific concerns:
£ UK beholden to European and International courts
£ BrExit potentially put at risk
£ Free speech under threat with scrapping of Universities Act
£ Increased censorship of social media
£ Introduction of an ‘Islamaphobia’ blasphemy law
£ Taxes going up, despite previous promises
£ Return of 'non-crime hate incidents'
£ Expansion of a ‘nanny-knows-best’ Quango state
£ Government-backed digital ID and banking
£ VAT on school fees, starting as soon as January
£ More ULEZ and 20 mph limits, following Labour in Wales.
We are seeking to raise funds to help counter the above. The Freedom Association has, since 1975, promoted individual freedoms and liberties. Our overheads are low and funded from regular
subscription memberships. Donations will go towards campaigning and events.
