Hi, my name is Brianna and I am asking for your support to purchase and renovate a van to turn into a mobile play therapy room. I have been working as a child and family therapist for the last four years, with an emphasis on utilizing trauma-informed care and play therapy interventions to support children, adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma and other mental health concerns. Living in a rural area, one of the largest barriers to accessing services is transportation. So many people want and need help, but don’t always have the means to get it. This is a large part of what led me to become a therapist in my hometown of Hinton, WV. It is extremely important to me that the children and families in my community have equitable access to quality mental health care. So, as part of my new practice, Free to Be You Counseling, LLC, I am making it part of my mission to make therapy services as accessible as possible.
