Hi, my name is Melanie and I am hoping to raise the funds to help pay for an electric wheelchair and other adaptions I may need to claim my independence back.

Due to chronic illness and being disabled I have been unable to leave the house safely on my own (housebound) for coming up to five years. It is however only since the end of my 18 year relationship in the past few months that I have realised just how stuck I now am. After years of being trapped in the house I want to travel, explore, and go to the places I love. There are many things I dream of doing, such as finding new adventures, making new memories, getting back into being a street entertainer/performer would be amazing too as there needs to be more representation in that field. Also the more simple things such as being able to get out of the bath, meet up with my son and grandson in the park, as well as meeting up with friends for a coffee and chat. All funds will be put towards these goals.
