Dear friends and family of Jamie Balagia,
We, Jamie and Masae’s children, want to thank each and every one of you for your fervent prayers, outstretched arms and kind words during this time. Each and every one of you know how deeply Jamie loves the Lord, how honest Jamie is, how kind his heart is and how beautiful of a man he is. You are receiving this letter because we have a common love for him because of these things and more.
For those of you who are unaware of the situation, Jamie went to trial in North Texas over the past three weeks. After 2 days of jury deliberation, Jamie was handed a guilty verdict yesterday in a federal criminal trial in Sherman, Texas. Jamie was immediately taken into custody and is now at the Fannin County Jail in Bonham, Texas.
When we spoke to Jamie this morning, his message to us all is,“Trust the Lord.” He lives his life by the guidelines of his faith in Christ. He is in good spirits. He knows that there’s a reason for this. We know that a failed system is no match for an unfailing God. We believe in Jamie’s innocence and are going to fight this conviction. We need your help to assist Jamie in these endeavors!
That being said, we are humbly calling on Jamie’s friends and family to come to his aid. Jamie is in need of commissary funds and communication funds, as well as funds for the appellate process and defense. For the past two and a half years, our family has suffered through severe financial strain due to the circumstances surrounding Jamie’s legal battle and the loss of our mom, Masae. We alone simply cannot provide for Jamie’s needs.
Jamie needs your help! Please consider donating to Jamie’s commissary and communication funds while we await sentencing in January.
