Hello!

My name is Tash and I am the co-founder of Kemeneth Print Studio in Penzance.

I have been overwhelmed with the amount of support we have had from our magical little community since opening the doors and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying facilitating workshops.

My dream is to run a community print studio where everyone can benefit from being creative, learning new skills and meeting new people in a warm and friendly environment. I have been approached by a few local charities which I have the privilege of leading some workshops for in the near future but I would like to push this element of the business further and reach the deserving and underserved communities in Penzance to offer free/ subsidised print workshops.

We have set up a community interest company (CIC) called ‘Kemeneth Creatives’ to help us build this element of our business and this is the first fundraising attempt we have launched for this so I am very tentatively taking this step and any feedback or ideas would be most welcome.

Asking for money is never easy and I appreciate that times are hard for many of us but if you believe in the power of the arts like me, and you can spare the cost of a coffee to pay it forward for someone else to enjoy, it would be IMMENSELY appreciated.

The cost of a workshop is £70. If we can reach £700 it would allow 10 individuals to attend a free workshop. I will contribute an additional 50% of whatever’s raised so that I can get as many people printmaking as possible.
