Since being taken from her, Pepper's health has started to deteriorate quickly. He has been losing weight, developing sores, appearing dehydrated and acting lethargic. Last she saw him, he had ticks and was sleeping in urine and feces. Many Farms has denied his owner visitation access.

Despite our repeated pleas, Animal Control Officers have not provided him with the necessary care or vaccinations. They have perpetuated lies, denied communication, and have insisted the only way out for Pepper, is through legal action.

Since then, Pepper's owners mental health is in jeopardy, which makes this whole fight even more urgent, as it's not just about Pepper, but also the wellbeing and livelihood of his owner.

As his owners, we attest Pepper, our emotional support dog possesses a calm and friendly demeanor. Pepper's owner has a medically recognized emotional disorder, and Pepper provides important benefits as prescribed by her mental health professional. An emotional support dog is not just a pet, but a source of comfort and relief from symptoms such as stress, anxiety, and depression.

Animal Control's continued negligence to release Pepper and provide him with necessary medical care not only violates animal welfare laws, but also infringes upon the rights of individuals relying on emotional support animals for their well-being.

Even though we have tried to hold Animal Control accountable and demand they release Pepper back to us, they have refused.

Right now we’re in an active legal process to reunite him with us, and are working with a lawyer but legal support isn’t cheap!

We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t shoulder these costs alone. Please help us in our fight to free our pup!!
