Hello! I'm from MAMAS (Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville). The husband of our neighbors, MP, was detained by ICE in July. MP has been disabled for years and relies on her husband for many of her needs since she cannot work. She now needs assistance to help pay for her husband's attorney costs to help get him out of detention. Please help our neighbor MP to free her husband from ICE detention!

Hi everyone - thanks so much for helping so far. MP/s husband has had a setback in his case, and they are considering their options. We are still collecting funds for MP and her husband, and based on what she and her husband decide, they will them either for her husband's legal fees, her own legal fees, or their household expenses. update on 2/25/26:

Thank you all so much for your help. Despite hiring a lawyer, MP’s husband is likely to be deported soon. MP continues to need assistance, as her husband was the primary breadwinner and her caretaker. She is now relying on assistance from family members. Any type of assistance you share is greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Hi everyone - thank you all for the incredible support you've shown MP and her husband. Despite her best efforts to have his lawyer fight for his release, MP's husband has been deported to his home country. MP has asked to keep this page open to continue supporting her husband as he begins to make a new life again, and as she continues to struggle paying for her own bills here in Medford. If you are able, we are looking to help her with $800 in rent by the end of March, and anything extra to help her husband. Sending lots of gratitude to each of you - Adam

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for all the help you have given. It's been amazing to see the outpouring of support. Between legal costs, household expenses, and supporting her husband from afar, we've been able to help MP so much these last few months. Unfortunately, life goes on and we will need to transition support from this gofundme to more stable sources of support.
