Mimi Mefo, courageaous Cameroonian journalist, has been arrested by the Cameroonian government and thrown in jail for reporting on killed American missionary Charles Wesco, citing Reuters agency. She is held at the New Bell prison in Douala since November 7, 2018, and will be tried by the Military tribunal. Please help as the New Bell prison is Douala is one of the worst prisons in Africa, and in the current situation she needs the strongest team of lawyers to free her from the grips of a very tyrannical regime.
I am a writer, and know Mimi Mefo from the excellent work she has been doing in the North West and South West, as an investigative journalist I was myself in the North West and South West, and know how difficult it is to work there under conditions of war, and how challenging the conditions of work are there for journalists in particular. I have direct contact with Mimi Mefo, have talked with her after her release today and I will send her the funds directly - to her, and to nobody else. The campaign purpose is to help her recover from her incarceration, and if necessary pay the legal fees that pertain to her defense.
