Help Me Bring My Wife, Mariangel Rivero, Home

My name is Albert, and today I am humbly asking for your support to help free my wife, Mariangel Rivero, who is currently being held in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement after an unjust and traumatic detention on March 2nd.

Mariangel was simply leaving her apartment when ICE agents stopped her. They asked if she was another person, and even after she confirmed her identity, they detained her without cause. It is heartbreaking to know that the only apparent reason for her detention was her Latino appearance—an act rooted in racism and xenophobia.

Mariangel has no criminal charges, no record, and no reason to be held. She came to this country seeking safety after fleeing the repression and dictatorship of the Government of Venezuela. She escaped to protect her life—and now finds herself once again deprived of her freedom, this time in the place where she sought refuge.

She is scared, confused, and hoping desperately to come home.

We are fighting for her release through legal channels, but the costs—attorneys, documentation, filings, travel—are overwhelming for me alone. Any contribution, no matter how small, will directly help us continue this legal battle and support Mariangel during this nightmare.

Ayúdame a traer a mi esposa, Mariangel Rivero, de vuelta a casa

Mi nombre es Albert, y hoy acudo a ustedes con el corazón en la mano para pedir apoyo y ayudar a liberar a mi esposa, Mariangel Rivero, quien se encuentra detenida injustamente bajo custodia de Immigration and Customs Enforcement desde el 2 de marzo.

Ese día, Mariangel simplemente salía de su apartamento cuando agentes de ICE la detuvieron. Le preguntaron si era otra persona y, aun después de que ella confirmó su identidad, se la llevaron sin motivo alguno. Es doloroso admitir que todo indica que fue detenida únicamente por su apariencia latina, un acto claro de racismo y xenofobia.
