Hello, my name is Holi Zaday. Unfortunately, a few days ago, my younger brother, Luis Fernando Cabrera, was detained by ICE while leaving his job at Popeyes on Cameron Road in the early morning of Friday, May 1. He is currently being held at the Karnes Detention Center.
Luis Fernando is a student at Northeast High School and is the goalie for the varsity soccer team. He is an exemplary student and has had the opportunity to win championships with his team at both the district and state levels. He is currently in his senior year of high school and is on the verge of graduating.
His daily routine consists of going to school, focusing on his studies, and training with his team; after leaving school at 4:30 PM, he heads to work, where he stays until 2:00 AM. In his free time, he looks after his nephew (my baby).
Given the current situation, he is now at risk of being unable to graduate; if he is not released, he will not be able to complete the credits required to earn his diploma. My brother and I live on our own, and through his job, he helped contribute to our household expenses. We are asking for your cooperation and support—not only to help us raise funds for legal fees and necessary expenses, but also to help us make our voices heard. With everyone's support, we can fight for my brother's release as soon as possible. Thank you so much.

Hola, mi nombre es Holi Zaday. Desafortunadamente, hace unos días mi hermano menor, Luis Fernando Cabrera, fue detenido al salir de su trabajo de Popeye's en Cameron Rd. Ahora, está en Centro de Detención de Karnes.
Luis Fernando es un estudiante de Northeast High School y forma parte del equipo de futbol como portero. El es un estudiante ejemplar y ha tenido la oportunidad de ganar campeonatos con su equipo en el distrito y a nivel estatal. El actualmente esta en su ultimo ano de preparatoria y apunto de graduarse.
Cada día, su rutina es ir a la escuela, enfocarse en sus estudios , entrenamiento con su equipo , saliendo a las 4:30 de la escuela se va a su trabajo y sale hasta las 2 de la mañana. Durante su tiempo libre cuida a su sobrino (mi bebé).
Dada la situación, el ahora está en riesgo de no poder graduarse ya que si no es liberado, no podrá completar los créditos requeridos para poder graduarse. Mi hermano y yo vivimos solos y con su trabajo, el ayudaba con los pagos del hogar. Les pedimos su coperación y apoyo para ayudarnos no solo a recaudar fondos para el abogado y gastos necesarios, pero también a levantar la voz.
