FREE Kevin! Support for Detained Student: Legal Fees Needed
Donation protected
A 16-year-old student from Francis T. Maloney High School in Meriden, CT, was recently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during a routine immigration check-in along with his father and has been transferred to a family detention facility in Texas.
This honor roll student was taken into custody 7 days before his high school graduation.
Many others remain detained or at risk, like our dear friend and his father. ICE agents have arrested people in their homes, at places of work, outside of courthouses, and even in their cars, being horrifically dragged out of broken windows.
These are our classmates, our neighbors, our friends, and our families. No one should face shackles instead of support; no family should be torn apart for daring to hope and dream.
Please help us by supporting our campaign to cover the legal filing fees, which are estimated at $12,000 to $15,000, and other necessary living expenses for the family as they navigate this unimaginable time.
We call on our communities to stand with immigrant youth. We are the future.
