In December 2009, while pursuing an engineering degree at NC A&T Joshua was found guilty of non-violent crimes and received a total incarceration term of 27 years, 10 months and 20 days. Over-sentencing is yet another dynamic that contributes to mass incarceration. Although Josh made a bad decision, the sentence far outweighs the crime. He's paid his debt and needs to come home.
Despite all the lost time, Josh’s will to fight for his freedom is stronger than ever. In this era of justice reform and Black Lives Matter, we are asking you to contribute to his defense and life after incarceration as we push to correct this injustice. For anyone that knew Joshua from NYSP, JT Williams, Harding Univ High or NC A&T you know he is a good man who can contribute to society once he's able to rejoin it.
Join us as we raise awareness and funds to garner the push we need for Josh’s case to be seen by the right people. This is our friend, classmate, teammate and brother. Help us as we work to help our own.
