Healthcare can feel overwhelming, expensive, and out of reach for too many families in our community. Across the country, Sikh youth are stepping up to change that — volunteering their time, skills, and hearts to bring care directly into gurdwaras and community spaces. Through a new partnership between the Sikh Medical Initiative (SMI) and the Sikh Health Network (SHN), we are launching the Seva Care Cohort 2026, a national program that empowers Sikh medical students and professionals to lead community health clinics where they are needed most.
Both SMI and SHN bring a strong track record of impact to this work. Since its founding, SMI has grown into a national network of over 700 Sikh medical students and professionals, fostering mentorship, leadership, and service across chapters nationwide. SHN has successfully supported more than 80 community clinics across 12 locations, enabling over 2,000 patient encounters by providing the infrastructure, technology, and expertise required to deliver high-quality, culturally competent care. Together, these organizations have already shown what’s possible when community and medicine come together.
This fundraiser will directly support clinic coordinators across the U.S. by providing the essential materials to start and sustain their clinics — including medical supplies, technology, training resources, and operational support. 100% of funds raised will go toward Sikh youth–led community clinics as part of the Seva Care Cohort. When you give, you’re not just donating — you’re helping turn seva into action, removing barriers to care, and building a healthier future for our community, one clinic at a time.
