Help us equip 200 students in Nepal with the tools to succeed!
This July, I will be spending 5 weeks volunteering in a school in rural Nepal, in a small village called Gaunshahar. I am fundraising as this is a free school in a poor area, therefore the school relies on fundraising to prevent ealry drop out and give their students the best chance in life.
In 2022, the school was bought by Shamser Thapa, a man who decided to change the face of education in Nepal.
Growing up as both a student and later a teacher, Shamser witnessed a system where corporal punishment and fear were the primary tools for discipline. Determined to break this cycle, he founded a string of schools—starting with Heaven Hill Academy in Gaunshahar — based on a non-violence philosophy.
At New Marigold School, 200 students from Kindergarten to Year 10 receive a quality education entirely free of charge. In a village where many families cannot afford basic schooling, Shamser’s vision ensures that poverty never stands in the way of a child's potential.
Thank you for helping us keep Shamser’s vision alive and these children in school!

Donations: Due to gofundme not operating in Nepal, all donations go to a designated personal account in my name to be shared with the schools.
