Free Brice from ICE detention

URGENT: Please contribute what you are able to the bond fund for Brice, pictured here with his fiancee, Nyela, who is my neighbor and friend.  Brice is from the Congo and was seeking asylum in the United States through all the correct legal avenues.  Unfortunately, due to a mail error with his previous attorney's office, Brice missed a court date at Immigration Court and was ordered deported in his absence.  Brice had no idea until ICE detained him last month during one of the Trump administration's mandated ICE raids that led to many immigrants in the D.C. area being arrested, despite having no criminal record or egregious immigration violations.

Brice was swiftly taken from his home in Maryland to a notoriously dangerous ICE detention facility in Georgia--the Irwin Detention Center, where forced medical procedures against detainees have recently been publicized (https://www.npr.org/2020/09/16/913398383/whistleblower-alleges-medical-neglect-questionable-hysterectomies-of-ice-detaine).  With the help of new legal counsel, Brice has a chance to be released on bond this Friday, but the bond can be anywhere from $7,000-$25,000 with no upper limit.  His release is crucial in order to reopen his deportation order and continue with his asylum claim.
