INNOCENT! SAVE BRENDAN SMITH FROM DUBAI JAIL

Hi All

 

My friend Brendan Smith is an Ex-Pat Living in Dubai. He was working at a luxury car garage, Deals on Wheels, selling high end Ferraris, Bugatti Veyrons etc. He worked there for years on the sales floor and was very good at his job.

 

In 2018 he sold a Rolls Royce to a customer and the customer paid the company, Deals on Wheels, for the car in advance of collection. A few days later Brendan came to work to find that all the cars had gone and the owner was nowhere to be found. The company no longer existed.

 

The customer who purchased the Rolls Royce Cullinan sadly lost all of his money (AED 2.65 million, £541,395)! However he felt the need to file a case against Brendan, EVEN THOUGH HE IS JUST AN EMPLOYEE who dealt with him on the sale. Unbelievably, on the 3rd of October 2019, a judge found Brendan jointly responsible and sent him to Al Awir Prison for 12 months!

 

HE WAS JUST A MEMBER OF STAFF THAT LOST HIS JOB AND WAS OWED WAGES! HE WAS A VICTIM TOO! BUT BRENDAN GOT SENT TO JAIL

 

He eventually got the case in front of the supreme court and they over turned the verdict and released him in August 2020 (2 months early). THEY FOUND HIM NOT GUILTY. He received a full pardon and his deportation order was revoked.

 

However in Dubai you face a civil case as well as a criminal case for the same alleged crime.

 

HE HAS NOW BEEN SENTENCED TO A FURTHER 3 YEARS IN PRISON FOR THE CIVIL CASE, EVEN THOUGH THE SUPREME COURT SAID HE WAS INNOCENT! UNLESS HE PAYS THE AED 2.5 MILLION AS A FINE! (£506k). 

HIS FAMILY HAVE INCURRED OVER £160,000 IN LEGAL EXPENSES/COURT COSTS!

 

WE NEED TO RAISE THE MONEY TO PAY THE FINE AED 2.5 million or £506,250! AND PAY THE LEGAL COSTS FOR SOMETHING HE DIDN'T DO.
