Hi All,
On July 8th I'll be riding my fifth Silver Rush 50 Mountain Bike Race in Leadville, Colorado. I've decided to change it up this year and raise a few bucks for great charity Free Bikes 4 Kidz , and I need your support!!
The Silver Rush 50 MTB is part of the Leadville Race Series and starts in the old mining town at 10,200 feet. Over 50 miles I will climb over 8,000 vertical feet on old jeep roads and some loose singletrack topping out over 12,000 feet four different times. Tons of fun when you train in Illinois.
More importantly, here's why you should donate.... Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a non-profit organization geared towards helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. This amazing group, which i've come to know through a relationship with SimpleSnax (The B2B healthy snack company which I have recently co-founded), collects used or unwanted bikes, organizes thousands of volunteers to clean them up and refurbish them, and then gives them away to kids in need. In the last eight years they have given away more than 32,000 bikes!! This simply is a great cause and every donation will go directly to the charity. My goal is to raise $1500, but I'm hoping for even more!
