Free Beer...wasn't free!
The City of Pottsville decided to fine us $1,154.17 for our Free Beer event - because apparently they had nothing better to do. The event was completely safe, the crowd was incredible and calm, and everyone had a great night with no issues! They still have yet to identify ANY specific concerns with an OUTSIDE only event, and it has now been 314 days of waiting for an inspection.
We've received hundreds of messages of support over the last few weeks, and by far the most common suggestion was to post a GoFundMe for the fines.
If we raise the $1,154.17 needed to cover the fines, we'll be doing another free beer event, date TBD...
If the local government decides to drop these petty fines, we will donate the fined amount to the City of Pottsville Christmas Lights Campaign...and we will also be doing another free beer event while we wait for an inspection...
If somehow we EXCEED the $1,154.17, we'll take a poll on the Black Rock Facebook page for another local non-profit or fundraiser to receive the rest of the money!
