Fred's Memorial Funding

Hi, My name is Marissa Cornacchioli; I'm writing about my brother Fred Cornacchioli who passed away on April 6, 2022. He was in an unexpected accident and went through an extensive brain surgery but never gained consciousness again. We were left with the horrible decision of what to do with his quality of life scenario. The surgeons explained that his brain was not in a good state. When I say "we" Fred also left a daughter who is 18, graduating from high school this year. She also lost her mother when she was a very young child. I have been in her life helping my brother as he was a single Dad since she was young. We didn't have a lot of family to help, (Freds and my Mother passed away when we were 18 and 16, and our Father passed away 20 yrs ago.) All seems surreal; so much Tragedy in Life.
His Daughter and I struggled with letting him go but did not want him to be institutionalized for the rest of his life, with the possibility of never regaining consciousness. We chose to take him off life support, which has been the hardest to cope with. Its extremely hard to let go of someone you love so much. Fred was an organ donor, so we went through the process to allow him to donate his organs. He, unfortunately, passed the time limit to donate, leaving us heartbroken he couldn't help and live on through someone else. Fred remained with us for 6 more days. Earning the title of "Superman" by Doctors and Nurses. Fred was only 53 yrs. of age. He was a strong man holding on, didn't want to leave his daughter.
I'm writing this because I could use the help for his service and to help his daughter the best I can. To give her a little help after the tragedies she has faced in her young life already. We used to be the "Three Musketeers". Now it's just the two of us. She and I are taking it one step at a time but are very broken-hearted.
