Hi, my name is Melissa. I am trying to raise money to save my cat's life. Fred showed up on our porch one day as a tiny kitten. We couldn't leave him out in the cold. We tried to find owners with no luck. He stole our hearts, and I've never been a cat person.

He was diagnosed with fatal FIP on Monday November 13th. I started a treatment on him the next day. This treatment is very new, and very expensive. Before now, FIP was a death sentence. My vet actually told me to put the cat down. I was devastated. I cried all day until I come across the right people who helped me save Fred. He's 2 weeks into treatment and you would never know he was sick now. However, he needs a full 84 days of treatment minimum. Two days after getting Fred's diagnosis, my job decided to let's his remote employees go... Right before the holidays!!! I have had a tough few years losing several people I love, including my brother. I'm determined to save Fred. Ive experienced so much loss.
