Fredrick Ryans was a pillar in his community. Anyone who knew Fred knew that he was ambitious, driven, selfless, and a real go-getter. Fred’s smile illuminated every room he entered, he valued uplifting others, and his loving spirit was felt by everyone around him. Fred aspired to impact not only his community, but the world by striving to break generational curses and the stigmas against him as a black man. Fred graduated from Lamar University in 2017 and continued on to Pennsylvania State University pursuing his doctoral studies in informatics. He stayed active in the community and served as a Lamar University Ambassador, honored as a McNair Scholar and a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. On October 22, 2020, Fredrick passed away unexpectedly, at only 25 years old. This comes as a shock to everyone. Fred’s family thanks everyone for all of their kind words and memories they’ve shared. Due to the unforeseen circumstances his family is asking to please extend monetary donations in lieu of flowers to provide Fred the home going service he deserves.
