Fredericton Islamic Assn. Funds

Along with Canadians across the country, the terrorist attack at the Quebec City mosque deeply shook employees of Salesforce.com's Fredericton office (as well as our friends and families). We wanted to send a strong signal of support for the Muslim community in our area.
When we reached out to the Fredericton Islamic Association, we learned that their local mosque is no longer adequate due to recent growth in their community – largely from Syrian refugees. The Association is raising funds to build a new mosque so we thought this was a perfect opportunity to show our support.
It is important for us to show Muslims in Fredericton that they are welcome in our community, especially during this difficult time. We invite people from the Fredericton community to join us in showing our Muslim neighbours that they are loved, valued, and not alone.
Of course, it is our hope that other private citizens as well as businesses consider donating as well. All funds raised will be transferred directly to the Fredericton Islamic Association upon the conclusion of this fundraising campaign. Any amount of financial support is appreciated – no donation is too small. If you are unable to donate financially, please show your support by speaking out against discrimination, intolerance and fear mongering.

3. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible): The FIA is raising money for a new mosque. Their existing mosque is much too small for their growing membership.
4. Your specific plan for how the funds will be withdrawn from and sent to the beneficiary of the campaign: The money will be deposited directly into a bank account owned by the FIA.
