Frederic Lives Forever Within Us All

Frederic Rouviere died unexpectedly on Monday, March 18th in an auto collision on Highway 140 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, less than a week following his 59th birthday. The news has been devastating on so many levels.
Frederic was the best of men who could turn mundane everyday things into an adventure. Breakfast--no it's not just breakfast, it's a feast for the soul! Lunch--no, it's an exploration in Spanish cuisine! Or perhaps lunch is actually an opportunity to go for a picnic! And what's a picnic without a bonfire?! Dressing up in colorful outfits for parades and concerts to traveling across this big, beautiful world leaving his footprints on the souls he made smile from ear to ear. Frederic had the kindest of hearts which loved so much from the the fresh outdoors, to cake and champagne; from rescuing kittens, to building woodwork with his own two hands; from loving all life had to give, to of course building a homestead with the wonderful Cindy.
There are no words that can express how much love we all have for Frederic and his beloved Cindy who was by his side when he took his last breath. There are no words that can express how much sadness we have in our hearts for the loss of this beautiful man. There are no words for the for the pain we know that his loved ones are experiencing, especially Cindy and their furbabies: Leia, Mimi, Mardi Gras, and Pyrat.
Cindy is a humble woman who would never ask for anything, but many of us who love her and Frederic so dearly want to help her in any way we can including financially.
The motorist who hit Frederic and Cindy when she failed to stop at a stop sign was uninsured and driving on a suspended license. While Frederic and Cindy do have uninsured motorist insurance, it's not enough to cover the costs involved. This fundraiser is set up partially to help with the medical costs, loss of the vehicle, and cremation arrangements. Frederic's wishes were to be spread amongst the oceans. Cindy will be traveling with her son Sean's assistance to spread Frederic's ashes to the places he loved most. It will also partially help cover the travel costs for Cindy and Sean to be able follow Frederic's directives to spread his ashes. In addition, without Frederic's emotional and physical support, it is likely that Cindy will have to leave their beloved homestead in Oregon. The funds will help Cindy with whatever help she needs during the process of figuring out her next steps without her best friend by her side.
**Those of us organizing the fundraiser have no idea what the medical costs will be involving the emergency services used, or any future costs needed for medical care, replacement vehicle, moving, living, etc. We had no idea what amount to set as the goal. However, we do know there will be so many other things for Cindy to worry about and money should not be one of them while she mends to her shattered heart. I would love to have Sean by Cindy's side for as long as possible but he must miss work at an expense to do so. We just made up a goal number, the need may be greater, it may be less, we really have no idea. We thank you all for taking the time to read this and sending your love and support.
